It’s our district too! HOST A
HOUSEMEETING!
We're setting up meetings
across the 16th Congressional District to continue the conversations
we had last year about issues that matter! In an informal setting,
with about 16 people, we will have an opportunity for conversation to
enlighten, energize, and keep us involved in the political process
especially as it relates to the 16th Congressional District. A house
meeting can include neighbors and friends - Republicans, Democrats, or
Independents. It is NOT a fundraiser or a campaign event.
We will use our
“alternative” website –
www.newpa16.com - to announce events and to post essays and
letters that come out of the meetings. The purpose of the website and
these meetings is as posted there:
House
meetings provide a local setting for us to continue working together.
Now, here’s what you can do:

Select three convenient
dates/times - email those to Beth Becker at
spedwybabs@gmail.com, let us know the location as well.
Everyone's busy, so I'd suggest that you schedule the get-together
for just an hour. Plan at least a month ahead.

Beth will get back to
you with a date that matches our schedule. I will personally try to
be at all the house meetings.

Invite your guests –
perhaps with
www.evite.com but definitely with follow-up by phone at least
once - get RSVPs because people still are reluctant to commit to
events related to “politics.” Once there, will be glad they came.

On the day of the
event, have simple refreshments - nothing fancy – we have no
treasury to reimburse expenses.
